Portrait in Savannah

This is the first portrait I've done since being back in the States. I posed Robin Robinson Greco of Savannah in her living room
, after learning what she liked and after going through her closet to get the feel of what I thought would best reflect her for this piece.

Robin Robinson Greco oil on canvas 24 x 30 inches.

Portrait at Giverny

My great friend Carol commissioned a painting in which she wanted to capture her time in France. Originally, she thought of herself on the famous bridge in Monet's garden in Giverny, but that looked too staged. After spending most of the day trying to find the perfect spot, in between enjoying the superabundance of beauty, we stopped "trying" and settled down to some tasty cheese and reviving wine. Only then of course it became effortless, the sun broke through at the perfect angle and everything fell into place. A case of relax and allow!
